Meet Dr. Derbala

Dr. Youssef Derbala is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist, specialized in reproductive immunology. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and the American Society of Reproductive Immunology (ASRI). He graduated from Cairo university school of medicine.

Dr. Derbala had a great opportunity to complete 2 years of NIH research fellowship at Perinatology Research Branch of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) where he was mainly studying pregnancy-related complications such as preterm labor, preeclampsia, fetal growth restriction, and many other conditions.

Reproductive immunology has been his main interest since he graduated from the OBGYN residency program at Wayne state university in Detroit, Michigan. He completed 2 years of clinical fellowship training in reproductive medicine and immunology at Rosalind Franklin University of medicine and science in North Chicago, Illinois. During his fellowship, he gained great experience in treating women with recurrent pregnancy loss, unexplained infertility, multiple IVF failures and other immunological disorders complicating the pregnancy.
