Reproductive Immunology
Reproductive failure conditions such as repeated miscarriage, infertility and multiple IVF failures are very devastating for women and their partners. Women often won’t find an answer about the cause of reproductive failure.
Over the past few decades, reproductive immunology has been offering new insights to better understand many aspects of reproductive failure. Many studies have shown that a significant percentage of women with reproductive failure have underlying immune abnormalities; such abnormality can have a negative impact on ovulation, fertilization and pregnancy implantation.
Reproductive Immunology is a rapidly evolving subspecialty, diagnosing and treating women with reproductive failures such as repeated miscarriages, multiple IVF failures, infertility of unknown cause, autoimmune premature ovarian failure and many autoimmune conditions in pregnancy. Immune modulatory treatment is important in such cases to prevent miscarriage and improve the reproductive outcome.
